NOTE FROM PASTOR MARK
As lead pastor, Pastor Mark leads the church within the boundaries set by the BOG.
Stories are being told, hours are being submitted of how you are sharing Jesus with your words and showing Jesus with your actions (#sharejesus, #showjesus). I knew many of you were already doing this and now I am convinced! Thank you for your passion to share and show Jesus.Thank you for seeing that life is bigger than you. As you continue to share and show Jesus, I encourage you to pray. Pray for God’s Holy Spirit to be drawing people to himself. Pray for God to give you the words to share and the actions to show Jesus. I believe all people need to discover the hope, life, healing, and peace only found in Jesus, and he wants to use you as part of their transformation!
We want to pray eagerly as prayer is first about a relationship with God and second transforming our world.
“Prayer is the primary work of God’s people.”(Christian & Missionary Alliance core value) At DAC, we want to pray in a way that depends on God in all aspects of life. Eric and Joella Liddle are beginning to build a prayer team. If you have an interest in this ministry, be sure to contact them.

We want to worship in all we do as we are designed to worship God as a way of life.
The worship and A/V team do a great job with providing a distraction-free environment for this local body of believers to worship together. If you want to be a part of this integral behind-the-scenes service, contact Hector Ayerdiz or Matthew Sutton.

The Missions Team helps launch us on mission.
LOCAL: Plans are underway for the Spring Carnival on April 20 and the opening of the Derwood Farmers Market season on April 27. Clint Musser has agreed to get the season started as the volunteer coordinator, and he is seeking an apprentice. A brief training for all volunteers will take place on Sunday, April 14 following the second worship gathering.
GLOBAL: We have finalized the dates of the next mission trip, which will be June 21-July 2 to serve at Remember Nhu in Cambodia. The team will be led by Pastor Mark, and space on the trip is limited. A fundraiser for this trip on March, "Justice for Kids," will be part of our Global Encounters. Guests for Global Enounters will include District International Workers Jeff Pankratz, Stephen & Sarah Zuber, and Chialin Yu. We will also welcome Mark Epperson of Remember Nhu and have two opportunities for cultural immersion field trips and a special time for prayer. We are also happy to announce that we will be welcoming Dan & Lisa Lawrence in August. The Lawrences are District International Workers, and representatives of our partnership with the Alliance in Paris.
Two of DAC’s visions are to develop a good reputation with our community and provide strategically for some of the needs of our community in a transformative way, as well as, pray, give, go, and send to the nations. If you would like to help brainstorm, organize, and guide DAC in this endeavor to be launched on mission, contact Jen Ashby about joining the missions team.

EXPLORERS CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
A place for children to explore God’s world and Word and to make friends.
Jesus said to his disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children,” (Luke 18). Want to come alongside our DAC parents and provide an opportunity for the younger generation to be introduced to Jesus? Contact Bethany Clemmons about joining the team.

VISION YOUTH MINISTRY
A place to meet Jesus, continue to know Jesus & be encouraged to share Jesus.
To wrap up our study on God’s grace, the students and leaders discussed what it means to fear God. We learned we need both: to fear God and to accept his grace. Also in February, some of the students attending LIFE 2019 participated in a childcare fundraiser. It was a great time together as a group before heading to Orlando this summer.
Our students at Vision Youth have an eagerness to know Jesus, and Vision leaders have the great responsibility to display Jesus to them. Come and be an encouragement to our students once a week as they face the daily pressures from school, social media, etc. Contact Tim Allen.

Our primary venue for making friends, inviting God's transformation through Scripture and prayer, and living on mission together.
We are praying that God uses our groups to help people make friends, become more like Jesus, and live on mission. Huge thanks to all our small group leaders, hosts, and coaches who make this ministry possible!

We desire authentic community and want to create space for transparency and real relationships.
Whether you’re a regular attender or first-time guest, you always want to feel warmly welcomed. And knowing you are welcomed is the first step towards cultivating authentic community. If you enjoy inviting friends to your own home and meeting new people, consider joining this great team by contacting Wendy Geraci.

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
God has given us a great location and property. We strive to be good stewards of these gifts.
When God created the world, he brought order to the “formless and empty” earth. As humans, God then gave us the same task when he told us to “subdue” the earth. (Genesis 1) The B&G team does just that as they care for this property that God gifted DAC. If you enjoy working with your hands and seeing projects to completion, contact Mark Neely about joining the team. Also, coming up in April will be our next church work day.

We had 15 couples take the online Couples Checkup and eight couples attend a day-long couples retreat hosted by Mark and Nami. There were many moments of laugher, learning and strengthening marriages. Healthy people have healthy relationship which leads to healthy families, churches and societies.
We continue to pursue apprenticing people in all areas of ministry. We desire to be a multiplying church, and to do this we must form a multiplying mindset of training and releasing more people into ministry. If you are not currently serving, we would love to help you discover your giftedness and where God would like to place you. Check out this page on our website.
The staff manages ministry teams and meets weekly.
The staff has been going through an online course by Carey Neiuwhof called, “Breaking the 200 Barrier.” It is encouraging to hear that DAC is already doing and attempting many of the things discussed in this course. We are also being challenged to think and act differently in other areas discussed by Carey. Please pray for the staff and their continued leadership in the church.
The Elders shepherd and give spiritual oversight to DAC and meet on a monthly basis.
There is a great group of Elders who are serving and praying for you faithfully. Currently good conversations are being had around the areas of membership and pastoral care. If you ever would like prayer for any reason, we would love to pray for you.

BOARD OF GOVERNANCE (BOG)
The Board of Governance (BOG) sets boundaries for the Pastor and meets minimum quarterly.
The Board will meet on March 11 to talk about connecting with people, name change, and general updates. Please pray for continued unity of Spirit and the bond of peace as we seek God in our desire to see many people saying yes to Jesus.
